Ancaster Gem Show 2017

My trip to the Ancaster Gem, Mineral, bead and Jewellery show was so amazing! There was a crazy amount of different gem included in this show! I don’t think I can say it enough!! There was just so much variety!!

Including rough, tumbled, cabs and faceted gems. You could also find beads jewellery and carved gems. I am so excited to share my thoughts with you from my visit to the Ancaster Gem Show.

As I sit here and re-cap the day I feel so grateful to have been able to go to this amazing show. As a gem enthusiast I could really appreciate the amazing selection in gemstones the passion of the people at the show and their love for gems as well as the value of some truly unique pieces on display.

It was a road trip early in the morning with my mother, daughter and her close friend as we headed off to Ancaster to attend the Ancaster Gem show. It took us about three hours but It was well worth it.

The show had a line up of speakers sharing their knowledge, I was able to attend two of these including Helmut Koenig a Gemmologist speaking on Gemstone factors for quality and value , and Healing with Crystals & Gems in Your everyday life shared by Zulekha Noormohamed. It was nice to sit and listen to the talks and be around others with common interest.

Below are some of my favorite photos taken from the day!

I was extremely impressed with the stone carvings and gemstones in the rough at www.nharo.com I don’t know what is was about this both maybe it was the rough gems or the soul in the amazing art work but I got such a lovely warm vibe from and was immediately drawn in.

Let me know what you thought about these stone sculptures in the comments below! would you buy one?

After listening to Helmut Koenig’s talk I headed over to check out his collection of gems. I must say it was very impressive loved the untreated sapphires, and the fancy cuts he had on display.
