I am so excited to be finally writing this blog where I go gem hunting at the Beryl Pit. This blog has been a long time in the planning and now I finally get to share it with you.

Last Tuesday my partner Ryan and I went on the coolest adventure to find gems right here in Ontario Canada. We traveled many hours to an old Beryl pit in the middle of nowhere outside a little town called Quadeville.  We had a blast and found some cool gems featured in this blog. Bobbi’s GIA experience – Colored stone essentials

I can’t believe I am writing about receiving my 1st certificate from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). It makes me so happy because I really love to educate myself… I mean really educate myself, I love to be consistently learning.

Gemology really peaked my interest as soon as I started to purchase gems for my business Bobbi’s Jeweller. Not only was I learning about different gems, I was also learning how little I truly knew and that is kinda scary if you are buying gems all the time.  I wanted to gain more knowledge for my customers and myself so that I knew how to properly source gems.
